  1.    Start of route

We begin our route at El Jardín de la Vega (15,000 square meters), designed with a marked educational vocation in the style of a botanical garden, with the aim of teaching respect and love for nature.

  2.      Rose garden

Measuring 2,072 square meters, it is located at the entrance to the park on Avenida de la Ermita and is intended to be a small-scale recreation of a rose garden with a highly geometric structure following French gardening patterns. It features an interesting collection of rosebushes grouped by color. At its center is a gazebo decorated with climbing roses.

  4.      Arab Garden

It features flowerbeds of aromatic plants and other plants used in Hispano-Arabic gardening. In the center is a fountain that distributes water in small channels that follow the four geographical directions, giving the space the murmur of water, a constant feature in gardens of this influence.

Ilya Kabakov's sculpture "Rosenthal: Pianist and Muse" is born from space, from the musicality of water, from the romantic atmosphere of the surroundings.

  6.      Olympic Avenue Roundabout

We arrive at the Glorieta where we find a bust of Baron Pierre Fredy de Coubertin, French pedagogue and historian, founder of the modern Olympic Games. We can also see the Olympic rings, the five rings representing the five main continents, their five colors representing the entire world.

  7.      Peace Bell

The Peace Bell reproduces a traditional Japanese bell, the original of which was installed at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. It was built in 1954 in tribute to the victims of World War II, using coins collected by children from more than 60 countries. The bell tower combines the five elements of Feng Shui: earth, fire, water, metal, and wood. The materials used are stone from the Madrid mountains and pine wood from Valsaín (Segovia).

  8.      Luis Vallejo Bonsai Museum

The collection contains more than 300 bonsai by Luis Vallejo, 17 of which are from the collection of the former Prime Minister, Felipe González. It is composed of native trees and those from Japan. These trees were cultivated or acquired by Luis Vallejo over more than 40 years. The collection expresses an understanding of nature, its rules, a personal way of seeing the art of bonsai that extends to the place they inhabit, from the placement of the tree, its background, the materials, the stones and sculptures that accompany them. All of this forms a unique universe, through which a sensorial journey begins, to contemplate, reflect on, and experience nature.

The center offers a wide range of courses, workshops, conferences, and event space.
