Hermitage of Peace

The Romanesque-Gothic chapel was declared a historic-artistic monument by the General Directorate of Fine Arts in 1982. It is a hermitage whose origins appear to date back to the 12th century. It underwent modifications in later years, primarily during the 16th century. Its construction is made using solid brick piers and courses. It also has a curved tile roof and is attached to the cemetery. Also noteworthy in the ensemble are the hermitage's cross and the ancient niches of the La Paz cemetery, located in its immediate surroundings. Both elements, along with the hermitage itself, are included in the Catalogue of Protected Properties and Spaces of Alcobendas.
