3. "Fires are extinguished in winter" Asier Vera. 2025

Description of the work:

The phrase that we have all heard on multiple occasions lately, unfortunately, all except those in charge of making prevention a reality, gives name and crowns the work done by Asier “FIRES ARE EXTINGUISHED IN WINTER”.

“The expense and lives lost in extinguishing the fires that are started every summer are useless if we do not keep the forest clean and alive during the cooler periods.

There have always been and always will be fires, but if we did things right, as they were done before, we would surely be talking about fewer towns and fewer hectares of crops and forests destroyed.”

On this occasion, the artist has painted a large Christmas glass ball using the fragmentation technique, in which a snow-covered and burning house can be seen, surrounded by snowy fir trees; a charming Christmas scene if it weren't for the fire that takes over the surroundings, destroying everything in its path.
