Another place worth visiting is L'Aigüera Park. Designed by architect Ricardo Bofill in the 1980s, this green space is an example of the neoclassical style, a long park that separates the old town from a more recently built area.
Inside this park are two open-air auditoriums where numerous activities take place throughout the year. These are the Óscar Esplá Auditorium, closer to the Town Hall, and the larger Julio Iglesias Auditorium. Named after one of the winners of the Spanish Song Festival, which brought Benidorm such fame in the 1960s and 1970s.
The park ends at the Bullring and an area prepared for the fairs held during the various festivals.
After visiting the park, we head to point 3, l'Hort de Colón, going down Plaza de Sus Majestades los Reyes de España and continuing along Calle Herrerías to Paseo de la Carretera. Keep in mind that the latter is a pedestrian and very busy street. We take the fourth turning on the right to reach Plaza Mayor and turn left onto Tomas Ortuño. Going up to the right, we find L'Hort de Colón.
