In the Plaza Circular we can see the city's first public sculpture, that of Don Diego López de Haro, the town's founder in 1300. Crafted in bronze and stone by Mariano Benlliure, it is honored with a floral offering every year. In his hand, he holds the city's founding charter and points precisely to the Old Town, toward which we are directing them.

We remind you that the Bilbao-Bizkaia Tourism headquarters is located in Plaza Circular. Its interior has been renovated using wood to give it a personality in keeping with Basque traditions and culture. This building, which once housed the Terminus Hotel, was connected to the Abando station located next to it. Also known as Estación del Norte, this is a classicist-style building with a spectacular stained-glass window inside.
Further on, continuing toward the Arenal Bridge, parallel to the estuary, is Bilbao Concordia Station, also known as La Concordia Station or Santander Station, as it is more popularly known. One of Bilbao's finest examples of the Belle Epoque period.
