1. How long does each route last?

The route lasts approximately 1 hour.

  2. What is the frequency of the buses?

Bilbao City View has a bus fleet that offers a frequency of one hour during the low season and every 30 minutes during the high season.

  3. Is there someone on board to report on the service?

Yes, all buses have a multilingual guide or driver who will try to answer your questions about the Bilbao City View service and recommend interesting spots in and around the city.

  4. Where can I take the buses?

You can board the bus at any of our stops. If you don't have a ticket yet, you can also purchase one on board.

  5. Where do the routes start?

The main stop is the one in front of the Guggenheim Museum. However, it's possible to board the bus from any of the stops.

  6. Can I go and come back on the same bus?

The Bilbao City View routes are circular, so you can return to the stop where you took the bus or to any other stop at any time.

7. How long is the ticket valid for?

Tickets are valid for 24 hours from the date they are issued at the Point of Sale. If purchased online, this period begins when the ticket is validated on the bus or at the main stop (Guggenheim).

8. Is it necessary to request a stop?

Yes, to get off the bus, you must press the STOP button located inside. Also, to board the bus, once at the stop, you must pay attention to the approaching bus to indicate your intention to board.

9. How do I know where my stop is?

If you're on board, the audio guide will guide you through the stops. You can also find their locations in the brochures, on the website, or using Maps Voice.

10. How can I be informed of service disruptions?

We provide information on service changes on the website. We recommend visiting the website on the day you plan to use it to stay informed. You can also always ask the Bilbao City View staff and the Tourist Offices on-site.

  11. What are the buses like?

All our buses are red, double-decker, and open-top. All buses enter through the front door and exit through the rear, except for wheelchairs, which enter through the rear door. We have several spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility and two for wheelchairs/strollers.

  12. Do the buses have an audio guide?

Yes, all our buses have an automatic audio guide system in 16 languages: Basque, Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Galician, and Catalan. There is also an adapted children's version in Basque, Spanish, and English.

We'll provide you with free headphones when you purchase your ticket, and you'll simply need to choose your preferred language channel.

  13. Are the buses covered or do they have a roof?

Our buses have a sliding roof that is used only in case of rain. If you wish, you can also travel on the air-conditioned lower deck, keeping in mind that you must always sit in one of the available seats for your own safety.

  14. Is there space for wheelchairs?

All Bilbao City View buses have an access ramp and wheelchair space inside the vehicle. Each bus has a maximum capacity of two wheelchairs.

15. Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased on any of our buses, at various official sales points, and through our website. If you purchase tickets online, simply go to one of our stops and present the printed voucher you'll receive by email on board.

16. Is the ticket valid for one day or 24 hours?

Bilbao City View offers tickets valid for 24 hours.

  17. From what age do children pay?

Children under 6 years old are admitted free. Children 6 to 12 years old pay the youth rate, and children 13 and older are considered adults.

18. How much do the tickets cost?

The adult rate is €15, and the youth rate is €7. You can check the rates on our website.

19. Can I travel with luggage?

Our buses do not have a luggage compartment, so if you bring luggage, it must be small, portable, and easy to carry. It must not take up extra seats, aisles, or emergency exits. Unfortunately, you cannot travel with suitcases or large items.

20. Can I travel with a stroller?

Yes, it must travel on the lower deck, preferably folded. It must be placed in the spaces reserved for wheelchairs. Therefore, people with disabilities will have priority and must remove the stroller if necessary.

  21. Do I have to bring my own headphones?

It's not required. When you board the bus, you'll be given headphones for each ticket you purchase. However, if you wish, you can bring your own headphones and connect them to the bus system via a 3.5mm mini-jack connection.

Please note that only one device will be issued per person, so it is important to keep them with you throughout your trip.

22. Are there any specific safety rules while traveling on board?

Since Bilbao City View is a service offered onboard moving buses, it is very important to carefully follow all safety regulations provided by the onboard staff and the audio guide system. During the trip, standing, eating, drinking, smoking, riding with an open umbrella on the upper deck, or taking any type of object outside the bus are prohibited.

For the enjoyment of all passengers, we ask that you use the waste bins installed inside the bus to dispose of your waste.

23. Are pets allowed on board?

Animals and pets are not permitted on board the Bilbao City View, with the exception of duly accredited assistance dogs.

24. Do I have priority access to the bus if I already have my ticket?

All passengers must wait in the order they enter at each stop, regardless of whether they already have their ticket.

25. Can I smoke on board the bus?

No, smoking is strictly prohibited on our buses.

  26. I have lost my ticket, what can I do?

Unfortunately, you can only travel on the bus with a valid ticket, and loss or theft does not entitle you to any exchange or refund. Other types of payment vouchers or reused vouchers are not accepted. Once purchased, you must keep your ticket, as it must be shown both upon boarding the bus and during routine inspections. It is the customer's responsibility to verify that they have received the ticket and, if not, to request it from the onboard staff at the time of purchase.

27. What is the lost property protocol?

If you believe you have lost your belongings on board one of our buses, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Also, if you are still in the city, we recommend you stop by the main stop (Guggenheim) to discuss it with the Bilbao City View staff.
