It is in the neo-Gothic style, and was built between 1923 and 1929, under the project carried out by José María Pérez Carasa.
The church as we find it today is the result of several reconstruction projects, the first being carried out by Francisco Javier Vallejo Osorno in 1991, and another more recent one between 1995 and 1997, also carried out by the same architect.
