Before 1600, this place was once home to a small hermitage dedicated to St. Sebastian. In the same year, the Sacred Figure of Our Lady of Antiquity was moved there, adopting the title of Our Lady of Consolation. The Hermitage has an understated Baroque facade, embellished with elements of classical architecture. The inside, simple yet totally serene, contains a central nave that stands out for its harmony and humility. An impressive dome soars above the altar, decorated with exquisite and colourful sacred paintings from 1707. The sacred figure of Our Lady of Consolation is housed in an elegant chapel, forming part of the Hermitage’s main altarpiece, creating a space of profound devotion and beauty.
