In the last third of the 18th century, the demand for lodging for travellers visiting the medicinal baths in Trillo and Sacedón, who spent the night in Pezuela, made it necessary to build a new inn. This building was built in 1784. It has two floors made of brick and plas tered rammed earth blocks with an ashlar stone skirting.
Originally, it took up the whole square with a stable for horses and carriages, and another section served as a tavern, leaving the first floor as lodging for travellers.
Today, it houses the Culture Centre and has several different functions. The ground floor is used as a space for entertainment for the local residents, where films, music, educa tional workshops and exhibitions take place, also serving as a meeting place for the senior citizens’ association, and much more. The first floor is a reading room.
