Opposite the Central Market is

the Silk Exchange.

The Silk Exchange was declared

UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.

UNESCO: UNESCO is a United Nations organisation that promotes education, science and culture around the world.

 

It is a civil Gothic building.

The civil Gothic style was used

in the Middle Ages to construct non-religious buildings

with pointed arches and large windows.

 

The Silk Exchange
