What would you do if you were going to help a blind person with their guide dog who had told us they needed help?
Do not grab the person by the arms or back to guide them. Approach the person from their right (since the dog will always go to their left) and offer them your left arm to hold onto.
Do not give commands to the dog. Only the user gives commands to the dog. The person assisting can verbally guide the blind person so that they can give commands to the dog.
Do not pull on the guide dog's harness. Never touch the harness of an assistance dog.
