The hermitage of Sant Antoni was built approximately in 1722 and rebuilt in 1956. The hermitage has a square floor plan with a large semicircular arch that provides access to the interior.
On January 17th, the festival in honor of Saint Anthony the Abbot, the patron saint of animals, is celebrated. During this time, you can admire the grand parade of horses from all over the region, as well as the animals that come to celebrate their patron saint's day.
El Salvador Street, which connected Mutxamel and Tángel, was traditionally known as "Carrer Carnissería." El Salvador Street, where we are located, has been a connecting artery between the town and the road leading to Tángel.
On this street were three spaces necessary for the proper functioning of the municipality's social and human life: the Butcher's mill, the municipal slaughterhouse, and the cemetery, located in the current chapel.
