WALK TO AZETA PARK

View on map

Easily accessible, flat route of 515 m, along the La Benedicta dock to the beginning of Sestao, the neighboring municipality.

It has been marked in orange because it is a section of lesser interest and because the park it leads to is not accessible. However, at the end of the trail, you can see the interesting remains of the mining railway loading dock.

Next to the remains, there are stairs that provide access to the park located on the slope of the site; there are no ramps or elevators for access from the dock side.

The existing elevator only connects the upper part of the park with the Azeta neighborhood.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ROUTE

This promenade is an extension of the main route. It starts at the Rialia Museum (point 1 of the "Wharf Walk"), which you pass on the left. It continues for 500 meters along the riverbank, separated from the promenade by a railing. We head inland, leaving the sea behind us, and reach the municipal boundary between Portugalete and Sestao.

Accessibility:

Easily accessible for people with reduced mobility (PRM), this walkway features smooth ground and benches for resting throughout. The park is located on a hillside and is separated from the walkway by numerous steps.
