Bioparc Valencia

View on map

Inside the Cabecera Park,

We found this zoo almost without barriers,

where animals move freely.

It has one hundred thousand square meters .

Animals live in groups of the same species

and they relate to other species according to their habitat,

just as they would in the wild.

Natural barriers are used to separate animals and habitat.

That is, elements such as rivers, stones or bridges,

that do not seem like barriers.

The Bioparc is a little piece of Africa in Valencia

which seeks to raise awareness and educate about environmental care

and animal conservation.

We can see leopards, hyenas, giraffes, hippos, porcupines,

ostriches, elephants, otters and other sensational animals.

In the African Savannah we will see zebras, impalas, blesbok,

marabous, cranes, giraffes, lions, banded mongooses,

exotic birds, elephants or white rhinos.

Equatorial Africa is the primate zone.

We will see gorillas, mangabeys, cercopithecuses,

chimpanzees, drills, talapoines

and also herds of bongos, red buffalo, leopards,

potamoqueros, pygmy hippos

and sitatunga antelopes.

In Madagascar we will see 7 different species of lemurs.

Like the gray bamboo lemur,

which is in serious danger of extinction.

Bioparc plans to expand its land by 20,000 square meters.

to create habitats in Southeast Asia and South America.
