Route 1 - Historic Center, Ciutat Vella

Valencia is more than 2,000 years old.

Its historic center is one

one of the largest in Europe.

The Romans founded Valencia

in the year 138 BC.

They created the Forum in the Plaza de l'Almoina.

Today there is a museum in this square.

where you can see the remains

of Roman society.

After the Romans,

the Visigoths arrived in the city.

Between the years 714 and 1238,

Valencia belonged to the Muslims,

Until King James I expelled them.

Visit the historic center of Valencia

inside the Cathedral,

that it is a magnificent building

of the civil Gothic style,

one of the largest in Europe,
