The Tribunal of Waters is an ancient tradition,
which has been celebrated for thousands of years.
The tribunal meets every Thursday
at 12 noon at the door of the Cathedral
of Valencia.
In the past, the water from the Turia River
had to be shared between the people of Valencia.
This court said how the water was to be shared.
Valencia's water use is not managed today
in this way, but this tradition continues to be performed
at the door of the Cathedral.
This tradition is UNESCO heritage
which means that it is very valuable for society.
