1. Plaza Mayor
Our journey begins in the Plaza Mayor.
2. Church of St. Peter the Apostle
An 18th-century Renaissance-style building. The current parish church of San Pedro de Alcobendas is the heir to a previously disappeared church that stood on the same site. There is evidence that a Muslim mosque may have stood on the site of the original church.
3. Parish of Our Lady of Moraleja
It began operating very early because it was located on the grounds of the Hermitage of Our Lady of Peace, Patron Saint of Alcobendas. With the rapid growth in the number of faithful, it became necessary to find land for the permanent construction of the parish church.
4. Hermitage of Our Lady of Peace
Romanesque-Gothic chapel declared a historic-artistic monument by the Directorate General of Fine Arts in 1982. Although its origins may date back to the 12th century, it houses the miracle jar.
5. Slaves of the Sacred Heart Church
Located in the heart of La Moraleja.
6. San Isidro Hermitage
Address: Barajas Highway, kilometer 4. Alcobendas
This chapel was built in the 18th century. It is located in the San Isidro Pine Forest, surrounded by vegetation. The San Isidro pilgrimage has been celebrated for centuries and is documented since 1918.
