16 – Ciliary body

The photo shows a fragment of a fluid-secreting cell. In the upper right quadrant, a fragment of the cell has many fluid-filled vesicles inside; the fluid is expelled from the cell in the form of vesicles.

In the upper right, the vesicles are charged and raised, and in the lower part of the image, they are expelled in the form of droplets surrounded by a membrane. Outside the cell, the contents of the vesicles are released through membrane rupture, indicated by the dashed line.
