Hermitage of St. Roch

View on map

It is dedicated to Saint Roch, the city's patron saint. Its construction dates back to the first half of the 16th century. Built in the Baroque style, with brick walls and masonry infill, it is very similar to the Church of Our Lady of Mercy. This hermitage houses two altarpieces: one with the image of Our Lady of Grace, the city's patron saint, and a larger one with an excellent carving of Saint Roch from 1716. A magnificent banner from 1744, embroidered in gold and silver, bearing the image of the saint, can also be admired inside. The patron saint festivities are held in his honor around August 16th each year.

Small Baroque-style hermitage with brick walls, dating from the 17th century. Inside, it houses the town’s patron saints, Saint Roch and Our Lady of Grace.
