Hermitage of Saint Anthony

View on map

Formerly dedicated to St. Stephen, this 18th-century building was erected on the site of an earlier 11th-century Romanesque church, from which it retains the original Romanesque apse and recently discovered Gothic paintings inside. It is probably the oldest religious building within the town of Chinchón.

The building has a single nave and ends in a semicircular apse. Inside, three altarpieces stand out, dedicated to Our Lady of Remedies, St. Anthony, and St. Stephen.
