Valdaracete - A sea of olive trees

View on map

Olive trees galore, dotted with vineyards, mark our path towards Valdaracete. The first thing you see from any point here is the impressive Church of St. John the Baptist from the 16th–17th century. The highlight of Valdaracete is walking through its landscape of olive trees, which will make you forget that you are just 60 km away from Madrid.

Very close to here (around 4 km away), coming off the M-222, is the crossroads between the Cañada Real Soriana drove road, the Camino de Uclés route and the 40-Day Train Greenway. A great place to go for a walk or ride on your mountain bike.

Join us in celebrating our most famous festivals

Feast Day of Our Lady of the Pear, the municipality’s patron saint 30 April A beautiful procession takes place from the hermitage to the church, and at night, after the traditional fireworks display, the Mayos songs are sung to the Virgin Mary. The main events during these dates are the street parties and bullfights.

View from outside the municipality, where the cereal fields, vineyards and olive groves stand out, along with the parish church at the highest point.
