We invite you to take a stroll around Campo Real and discover its shops and delis, where you can try and buy the town’s star products: cheese, olive oil and its famous olives. Go up to its stunning Church of Our Lady of the Castle, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, considered one of the most fascinating churches in the province. Getting there requires going up a beautiful staircase among lush greenery, adorned with carvings of the apostles and biblical characters. Visible from the Henares valley, the church has an impressive appearance, like a ship sailing through a sea of olive trees. From this vantage point you’ll see that Campo Real is surrounded by olive trees, and it will be incredible to see the famous Four Towers in the background.
Join us in celebrating our most famous festivals
- Holy Week
Campo Real’s Holy Week ends with one of the most beautiful processions in the Madrid Region: the Procession of the Encounter, where the figures of Our Lady of Sorrows and The Risen Christ meet in Plaza Chica (Small Square). On Easter Sunday, the famous Hornazo cake is eaten in the Valdemembrillo meadow.
- St. Isidore 15 May
Farming is the main line of work in Campo Real. For this reason, the festival of St. Isidore, as patron saint of farmers, is an especially important celebration in Campo Real. This custom has thrived in recent decades, together with a farming festival in Plaza Mayor.
