Columns from the Old Market Square

View on map

“...in the middle of the Market Square, you will find butchers, fruit and pickle sellers, and Uncle Joaquín, El Cacharrero [The Rag-and-Bone Man]”.

Estremera december 4 of 2021

Columns recovered and restored from the original late 19th century structure of the Plaza de Abastos (Old Market Square), which disappeared at the end of the 1950s.

In what is now the Plaza Mayor (Main Square), there once was a market that served the people of Estremera.
