Church of St. Mary Magdalene

View on map

The Church of St. Mary Magdalene, built between the 17th and 18th centuries, stands on the foundations of a former 15th-century structure. This historic building features materials such as brick, masonry and ashlar blocks. The tower has two sections: the first is made of small and large ashlar, and the second, more modern part is made of brick, where the bells are located.

The interior structure contains three naves divided by semicircular arches, supported by hexagonal pillars, with a particularly remarkable high altar. The feast of St. Mary Magdalene is celebrated on 18 July with a candlelit night procession, offering a unique experience where you can connect with local tradition.

Surroundings of Anchuelo Church, with particular emphasis on its tower, where the bells can be seen on each side of the more modern upper section.
