This important ceramics museum was built
during the last decade of the 15th century (15).
The Marquis of Dos Aguas ordered its renovation in 1740.
In this reform the great cover was made,
which is what makes this palace famous,
for its disturbing beauty.
José Vergara built the cover
with drawings by Hipólito Rovira.
Ignacio Vergara and Luis Domingo collaborated with Rovira.
The cover has two levels and is made of local alabaster .
An image of the Virgin presides over the upper level.
At the bottom level, two jugs pouring water surround the door.
The waters represent 2 rivers
which are mixed with a curious shape and vegetation.
