Originally the seat of the courts, the building that currently houses Palma City Hall is located in the city's nerve center, where its heartbeat can best be heard: Plaza de Cort. A lively square, with its terraces, where locals gather to celebrate important dates such as Christmas and the patron saint festivities of San Sebastián, among others.
The building is an example of the architectural fusion that characterizes Palma's historic center, with Gothic, Baroque, and Modernist elements. Its art gallery is also noteworthy, especially its gallery of illustrious men of the Kingdom of Mallorca.
