6. Almudaina Palace

View on map

The Almudaina Palace, located right next to the Cathedral, is undoubtedly one of the most visited spaces in Palma. It is currently one of the residences of the Spanish Royal Family, so the term "palace" defines it not only for its architectural beauty but also for its functionality. Furthermore, it is a building that attests to the city's history: it is of Roman origin, modified by the Muslim kingdom, and later adapted as a fortress.

Although parts of the palace are closed to the public, others can be visited and are a feast for the senses: the parade ground, the Gothic Chapel of Santa Anna, the Islamic-era baths, and the terraces, with privileged views of the sea and the Bay of Palma. In short... a royal palace.
